Two days ago I have ported my T-Mobile prepaid line to a post-paid T-Mobile line (both lines are T-Mobile). In doing so I have triple checked with the account executive at the T-Mobile store that my "original number" would stay the same...

However as of today (after 2 days) my original number is still at "reserved" status and my phone is stuck with the "temporary" number. I can't access my online bank accounts (as they send the codes to my now frozen and inaccessible number), same is valid for other online cloud services (including my company's network/portal). Nobody can call me at my original number and when I call others they don't recognize my number. This is a NIGHTMARE and is the worst possible cellular operator experience.

BEWARE: Switch to a T-Mobile plan and lose your phone number... Don't fall prey to such a terrible trap...
