Waiting over 3 weeks for $1796 refund from T-mobile
Jul 17, 2008
TMobile complaint by Romomofseven
T-Mobile took $2010 out of my checking account instead of the $110 when I did a phone check. After three weeks I have still not recieved my refund check. I have spoken to 14 customer service reps. I have been promised three times that T-mobile would return my phone calls. Nada! No one will give me a phone number or an email address I can use to speak with someone "higher up". Now customer service has blocked my calls to them. HELP! The first call promised me my money in 5-7 business days, then a week later I was told I needed to fax them an official statement from my bank showing the check had cleared. I did this as soon as I was told. Now over 3 weeks later "it is still under investigation because it is such a large amount". Well, duh!! It's my money and I want it back. Any ideas would be helpful. they hung up on my lawyer and have not responded to his letters. Robin

Even though that they promised youe refund within 5-7 days the truth is that it will take up to 6 weeks for your refund. They blocked your calls because now they consider you to be harrassing them. You have every right to call and check on this matter. When you have your lawyer call and once he has identified himself and a lawyer regular reps are no longer allowed to speak to him for legal reasons, he must call and ask for a department that handles legal matters. the name of the department is different for each company. I assure you they have them. I used to be a manager for a very common wireless company and came across these occurances on a weekly basis. the compant is most likley conducting a fruad investigation against the employee who took the payment from you and may be causing your refund to be delayed even further. You can also dispute this charge with your bank as an unauthorized payment. Your bank may be able to help place the credit back in your account and they will deal with T-mobile on thier own. This all depends on the bank you have. In the furture you are much better off making your payment online or at the store if your are unable to mail the payment in on time. I also have t-moblie. I have always made my payment via internet or through online banking and had never had any issues. Doing it this way puts you in full control of the payment amount and does not allow a rep access to your bank account. Also when ever you must speak to anybody in a call center always ask for their first name and employee ID so that if you have an issue you have proof to provide to a manager of if it gets really bad the attorney general a list of everyone you talked to. Don't worry every call is really recorded and it is possible to have a lawyer get a hold of those calls made regarding your account.
